Updated: Jun 7, 2020
Today's new's headlines... Filled with nothing but fear, panic and dread. Wondering how to manage your emotions, while using your common sense in this day and age? Well let's start off with the latest news, the Corona Virus. The latest "Panic" in the news today, heard all around the world. While these fears are real, lets stop and use our common sense. First off, I hope you all are already doing your due diligence by continuing to remain healthy by washing your hands and staying home when you do not feel well. Second, don't panic. We are surrounded by germs and everyday viruses that can kill us. This is exactly why we need to use hygiene and education to combat our fears and live in peace. Lets face it, panicking is not going to change a thing. Be sure to stop shaking hands, cover your mouths when sneezing and coughing, stay away from sick people and continue to wash your hands (20 seconds at the least) and stop touching your nose, mouth and eyes while you are out in public.
Okay now that I've talked about common sense, lets talk about calming our anxieties. Are you one who is constantly waiting for the next news headline to hit? Letting you know that one more person has caught this virus? Well STOP IT!! Use this extra energy to get things done that you've been putting off in your home. Or you can Read a book, listen to music, draw.... Choose ANYTHING that is calming to you in place of watching the news. Next, lets start cutting back on our social media time and spending more alone time or time with your loved ones. Let's face it, social media is filled with negativity and fear. This will only heighten your fears even more, leaving you with the feeling of dread and uneasiness. Do yourself a favor and get back to the simple things in life. Choose a hobby and do it a few times a week. Do this and you will see the results of less anxiety and fear, and more relaxation and peace in your life!
